Fiberarts Magazine annual sampling of student work will be featured in their November/December 2008 issue and is open to current students in a collegiate-level fibers program.
Please submit artist statement, images (transparencies, slides, or high-resolution digital images [300 ppi]), full caption information (including title, year completed, materials, techniques, dimensions, and photo credit), information about what degree you are pursuing, and permanent address (items will be returned in October) to:

Quilt National ’09,the sixteenth international juried competition for new innovative quilts,--------------------------------
on display May 23 – September 7, 2009 at the Dairy Barn Cultural Arts Center in
Athens, Ohio (USA). Jurors are internationally recognized artist quiltmakers
Sue Benner (Dallas, TX) and Katie Pasquini Masopust (Santa Fe, NM); and Ned
Wert, Professor Emeritus of Fine Art at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. The
work must (a) possess the most basic structural characteristics of a quilt, (b)
be an original design of the entrant, (c) have been completed after September,
2006 and (d) measure no more than 108” or 270 cm. in either direction. Jurors
will grant over $6,000 in prizes. Entry deadline is September 5, 2008. Work
selected for the exhibition will tour throughout the United States through 2011
and will be published in a full-color catalog

The American Tapestry Alliance is a not-for-profit, member-supported organization seeking to exhibit the best of contemporary tapestry. Since 1986 ATA has sponsored a biennial, juried exhibition, the American Tapestry Biennial, and it now announces the first in a series of juried small tapestry exhibitions: "Connections: Small Tapestry International."
